Thursday's Thoughts- Bible Doodling

Bible Doodling

I want to share a new project that is dear to my heart. At Rodeo Bible Camp one of my devotion leaders introduced me to Bible doodling as a way to read my Bible more often. I've always been fairly good about reading my Bible everyday but sometimes I get busy or forget. Now that I've started doodling, my consistency has gone way up. Now I read a chapter or passage every day with the anticipation of getting to draw or paint when I'm done.

I've always loved to draw and paint, though I've never been good at it. My pictures may not be the prettiest or my hand writing the neatest, but that's not the point. The point is that I am now spending more time in God's Word.

My two favorite things to do are paint pictures depicting Bible stories and write song lyrics that remind me of the verses in the journaling margin. I use watercolor paints so that I can still see the words when they dry. I also love to use stickers and stamps for an extra touch of creativity.
If you struggle with reading your Bible consistently I highly recommend that you try doodling. All you need to get started is a Bible and a few art supplies. I would love for you to share your doodles with via social media or email.

Winter Wonderland

This past weekend the weather decided it was about time that Arkansas had some snow. When it snows there's only one thing to do, go outside and take pictures! What you got there? I'd like some range cubes please. Make sure you get my good side. Oh yeah, there you go. Now, where is my food? Mom and Jacob think this looks like Mater from Cars. My baby is getting special treatment in the form of her own bucket of range cubes. Little Caffie is hunkered down and trying to stay warm. I'm not sure she likes this weather anymore than I do. My boy looks so pretty in the snow. You got that food yet? I'm STARVING. I love trees with snow on them. The world is white And at the end of a long cold day I get some Daisy snuggles. They are the best when it's cold outside. She is forever my baby. Snow is not my favorite because it's cold and it makes chores harder to do, but everything does look prettier.

Homemade Chocolate

Everyone loves chocolate but why go to the store every time you want some? This recipe is quick and easy.  You will need: 1 cup Coconut Oil 1 cup Cocoa Powder 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar 1/4 teaspoon Salt 1 teaspoon Vanilla Melt coconut oil in the microwave. Mix in cocoa powder, powdered sugar, salt and vanilla.  Pour into pan and refrigerate for 15 minutes or until hard. Remove from fridge and enjoy! It's that easy!

Thursday's Thoughts- Would You Stand?

Would You Stand? I have a very important question for you. Would you stand? This sounds like a simple inquiry, but it just may prove to be one of the most difficult ones you will ever be asked. What if you are sitting in church Sunday morning and suddenly masked men burst through the door holding rifles? Imagine that the leader announces that anyone who doesn't deny Christ will be shot. Maybe half the church chooses to denounce God and leave, but will you? Will the threat of death turn you away from your faith? Let me tell you about three men in the Bible who let absolutely nothing get in the way of their faith.  Travel back to the Old Testament with me and see a man who set his faith in God. His name was Noah. God told Noah to build an ark because He was going to send rain to flood the whole earth. Any other man would have laughed because, up until that time, it had never rained before, but Noah and his sons got right to work. For years they labored while their friends and ne
